Doctrine and Covenants A date is a planned activity that allows a young man and a young woman to get to know each other better. In cultures where dating is acceptable, it can help you learn and practice social skills, develop friendships, have wholesome fun, and eventually find an eternal companion. You should not date until you are at least 16 years old. When you begin dating, go with one or more additional couples. Avoid going on frequent dates with the same person.

I'm glad I found your question, because I ran into some tough ground with the dating standards back when I was in high school. You'd think, since it's such an obvious right or wrong, doing it or not doing it, that it would be easy for people to stay in line with, but guess not. So for a seminary lesson example You can always do the jam on a piece of toast which might even taste good in the morning.

Part one of my commentary can be found here. Not as much youth-oriented issues, but plenty of snarkiness to go around! The plan is to go through each month of the New Era, from to present, and once or twice-a-week offer my thoughts and experiences.
